About Ramdevji : Ramapir Nu Jivan Darshan is a very popular and famous devotional story beautifully presented by none other than Bhikhudan Gadhvi a very famous Gujarati artist. Ramdevji  is a traditional Hindu God of Rajasthan in India. He was a Rajput ruler of the 14th century who was very powerful and worked hard and devoted his whole life for the upliftment of down caste and powerless poor people of the society. Even in today’s date he is worshpped by many people of India as their own God. His followers includes of not only Hindus but also Muslims, Jains and Sikhs.

Ramdevji is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Krishna. King Ajamal (Ajaishinh) married Queen Minaldevi, the daughter of Pamji Bhati of Chhahan Baru village. The childless king went to Dwarika and pleaded with the Lord about his wish to have child like him. They had two sons, Viramdev and the younger Ramdev. Baba Ramdev was born on Bhadava Shukla dooj in V.S. 1409 at a place called Pokharan. Ramdevji was a Tanwar . He is also considered by some to be the 72nd descendant of the Pandav King Arjun.

Ramdev Pir took samadhi in v.s. 1442 at the age of 33 years on Shukla ekadashi of Bhadrapad.

Meghwal community in Rajasthan are the main diety of Ramdev Pir however he is worshipped by Hindus, Muslims and sikhs. A wooden toy horse covered in cloth is the most popular offering at his temples. There are many RamdevPir temples in Rajasthan. The main temple is at Ramdevra, located 10 kms form Pokhran in Rajasthan state where his eternal soul is resting in peace. 

In today’s date also lots many people worship Ramdevpir and in many districts and cities of Gujarat and Rajasthan people perform the natak based on his life at nights in some particular days for 3 days.
