Review: Mane koi Roko Maa is a family cum social rated gujarati natak. The main plot of the play revolves around the couple named Anand (Ashish Bhatt) and Shobha (Manisha Purohit) who are married with each other for the past 14 years but not even a single day has passed in their lives with quarrelling with each other. Although the couple had a love marriage, fights started taking place between them from the very first night of their marriage reception.
Although Anand earns a decent salary and has a quite a good job, his wife Sobha is not happy and satisfied with the amount he is earning. One day they had a fight regarding the same thing that Anand is not earning enough, he challenges his wife to earn atlas 5000 Rs. per month so she could know the value of money. Shobhaa takes up the challenge given by her husband willingly.
The sub-plot of the play involves Anand’s younger sister Sweety and her blunders which Anand and Shobhaa tries to solve even over and above their own differences.Laughter ride of comedy strikes when their neighbour cracks jokes and their servant who thinks he is very smart. These adds fuel to the fire for more fights between Anand and Shobha.
If this is not enough for the play, Sobha started working and earns quite a lot than Anand and they seek advice from one of their common friend , and the advice their common friend will give which is little too much for both the husband and wife. The play at the end, teaches a nice lesson and ends with everything happening well and desired by all.
